| Green Economy: Does it include you?The Royal Commission for Jubail will be organizing the World Environment Day Symposium on Tuesday 5 June 2012 in Jubail Industrial City, Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
This one-day Symposium targets researchers, environmental professionals, international organizations and policy-makers who are interested in working towards a better environment for the Jubail Industrial City, being the host of the highest concentrated Industrial City in the Kingdom and the largest industrial city in the Middle-East region. Environmental Excellence Award As an acknowledgement from the Royal Commission for the industrial companies' exerted efforts in the field of environment preservation and being keen to spread the competitive spirit among the industrial companies in their pursuit of implementing future plans for the clean environment, the Royal Commission's Best Environmental Performance Award was approved since the year 2006. The award was initially limited to basic industries and then the secondary industries were involved in the year 2007, with the hope that this may pour in the interest of the environment significantly. In addition, awards for the Environmental Awareness Program for School Competitions will be distributed for the first time during this event.
